About Liisa

Liisa Viima is a painter, whose mission is “to bring Joy and Beauty into our World.” She resides and works as almost a fulltime artist with a beautiful view of the Lake Nupuri near the city of Espoo, Finland.

Liisa has been creating art from an early age.

In 2022 she brought her artistic vision to fruition after graduating from online studies at the Milan Art Institute. In a short period of time, she has achieved art career success. Her art has been selected for juried and curated exhibitions and she has received many accolades and commissions. She is joyfully expanding a coterie of collectors and honors.

Liisa’s solo exhibitions in 2024 included one at Marski Gallery and Bar Favela, both in Helsinki, and one at Vanaja Gallery, Hämeenlinna. In addition to this, a solo exhibition at Hallahuhta Gallery, riding arena at Kytäjä took also place.

She attented two group exhibition in Espoo: 'Läget' and 'Serious Game' in 2024.

Earlier she has had two solo exhibitions in Kauniainen City Library and a group exhibition in Espoo Library.

In January 2025, her newest work "Tigris" was chosen in to a curated on line exhibition "Love, Peace, Unity & Hope" by Manhattan Arts International, New York.

As a member of the Finnish Artist Association Liisa has participated in two of their curated annual exhibitions at Cable Factory, one of the largest Art Centers in Helsinki, Finland.  

Additionally, Liisa received Letters of Honour from the Luxembourg Art Prize competition in 2022 and in 2024, organized by the Pinacothèque, a private museum located in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

Liisa has also received praise for her artwork in an art review written and published by Renee Phillips, Director/Curator, Manhattan Arts International, NYC, NY. Renee wrote, “Liisa Viima creates aesthetically beautiful works of art that provide an immediate welcoming healing energy for the viewer. It is immediately apparent that one of Liisa’s many admirable attributes is her creative versatility.”

​In March, 2024 Liisa was invited to exhibit her work in the online galleries of Artrewards, Artmajeur and Artsy.

Maija Aurea is Liisa’s little sister, also born in the North of Finland. She is A Professional in Marketing, Digitalisation and Leadership development among other things. She is Master of Sciences in Economics as well as pro in Pedagogics, working as a Lecturer of Leadership and Consultant at a University of Applied Sciences. She also runs her own business as a NLP Trainer/Coach, Solution Focused Brief Therapist and Hypnotherapist.
